As Senior Asset Manager for Stiles Financial Services, Mr. Richard Stein oversees a portfolio of institutionally partnered office and retail properties consisting of over 1.5 million square feet. While serving in this capacity, Rick is responsible for all strategy, oversight and direction of assets as it relates to property management, leasing, marketing, accounting, financing and the financial performance. This includes developing and implementing business plans for properties of all types, such as, office, retail, and mixed-use, as well as coordinating and establishing leasing goals for a variety of high-profile clients.
During his tenure at Stiles, Mr. Stein has initiated major capital improvement projects to maintain and enhance asset value. These enhancements programs were implemented in several well-known office tower and retail projects, including SunTrust Miami, 800 Brickell Miami, Red Willow Shopping Center Orlando, and Daniels Crossing Naples. He was also instrumental in the refinancing for Suntrust Miami ($47.5 million) and 800 Brickell ($16 million).
Prior to Stiles, Mr. Stein was Vice President, Property Operations for Triple Net Properties (Now Grubb & Ellis) in Santa Ana, CA, where he oversaw a portfolio of over 7 million square feet of properties comprised of over 45 retail, office and industrial properties in six states. He was also Director, Retail Operations, in Brazil for Compass Management (now JLL), where he was responsible for over 2.4 million square feet comprised of 10 enclosed malls throughout Brazil. Rick holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and is a Certified Shopping Center Manager, recognized by ICSC.
