Moxies will open its second South Florida restaurant at The Main Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale by fall 2022.
Owned by Vancouver, British Columbia-based Northland Properties, Moxies – sometimes spelled Moxie’s – is a casual franchise that has 65 locations across Canada and five in the U.S.
Paul Randle, president and CEO of Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Eatz Hospitality, will co-own the Fort Lauderdale restaurant, at 201 E. Las Olas Blvd. The 12,000-square-foot eatery will include indoor and outdoor bars, plus a second-floor mezzanine and patio.
In February 2020, Randle opened a 8,200-square-foot Moxie’s Grill and Bar in Miami’s Mary Brickell Village. He also established restaurants in Dallas and Houston.
The 27-story, 1.4 million-square-foot The Main Las Olas was completed in July. It includes 385,265 square feet of offices, 341 apartments, a 28,000-square-foot Publix GreenWise Market and 17,000 square feet of retail. It was developed by Fort Lauderdale-based Stiles and San Francisco-based Shorenstein Properties.
