Charlotte, N.C. – March 20, 2023 – Stiles, a leading Southeast-based commercial real estate development firm founded in 1951, announced its planned expansion in the Carolinas with the relocation of Stiles Property Management Vice President Devon Newton to the company’s Charlotte office. Newton will focus on pursuing commercial property management opportunities throughout North and South Carolina with the goal to expand Stiles’ management portfolio and footprint across the region.
Bringing more than 20 years of management experience, Newton leads operations and business development within Stiles Property Management (SPM), the company’s commercial property management division. She is credited with helping to grow the business into the largest privately held commercial management firm in South Florida. SPM’s current portfolio consists of 22 million square feet of office, retail centers, industrial buildings/parks, corporate parks, associations and public facilities office, retail and industrial properties. The portfolio has jumped to 95% third-party from 86% three years ago.
With a decade-long history of investment in the Carolinas, Stiles has developed more than 1 million square feet of office and retail property including 300 West Summit, a 64,000-square foot office building in South End; and 110 East, a 23-story, 370,000-square-foot office tower currently under construction in South End. Currently, the company manages Shoppes at Southline, a 65,000-square-foot Publix-anchored retail center in South End, which it also developed; and Village at Sandhill, a 28-acre open-air lifestyle center in Columbia, S.C.
